DSC 2582On the request of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) of the Gambia Republic and the UNESCO Regional Bureau of Dakar, the African Observatory for Science Technology and Innovation (AOSTI) provided its expertise to train national stakeholders of the major players of the national innovation system of the Gambia.

Thirty (30) persons among high level policymakers, representative from ministries, high education sector, policy implementation agencies and private sector were trained on the use of the Global observatory for science policy instruments (GO->SPIN) framework for survey on Science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation (SETI) policies, policy instruments, related frameworks and governing bodies. Participants to the capacity development workshop were skilled on mapping over time SETI instruments and policies of the Gambia.
